About Dr. Leslie Kernisan & Better Health While Aging
Leslie Kernisan, MD MPH, is a board-certified geriatrician who believes in empowering older adults to have the best possible health and wellbeing in later life.
Through her popular written articles, YouTube channel, and podcast, she helps older adults and families understand common aging health challenges, and the best ways to manage them.
Dr. K also has a special interest in families supporting aging relatives. Through her Helping Older Parents articles and trainings, she teaches families how to address common caregiving concerns and dilemmas. She also runs online group coaching programs, in which she answers questions and talks to families about the best ways to handle their aging parent challenges.
Dr. Kernisan completed her internal medicine and geriatrics training at the University of California San Francisco, where she also studied healthcare quality improvement. She is a proud graduate of Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine and Princeton University.
