3 Ways to Stay Balanced as the Seasons Change — Wild Warrior Yoga

According to Ayurveda the microcosm reflects the macrocosm and the macrocosm reflects the microcosm. In other words, our inner and outer worlds are connected and constantly reflecting back at each other. As the seasons shift so does our internal environment in order to maintain harmony and health. Sometimes this change can create instability and imbalance. This is one reason people tend to suffer colds and ailments during this time as their inner world catches up with the outer world. Just as when Winter turns to Spring we do a ‘Spring Clean’ in preparation for a warmer more extroverted time of year, it is helpful to do the same as we shift from Summer to Autumn in preparation for the more introverted part of the year.
